The Home Birth Association would like to sincerely thank all those who contribute their precious birth stories. All of these birth stories are very much appreciated, and it is a very generous act to relieve memories of that most private and personal of acts and to permit the HBA to include these accounts in the website.
If you are interested in sharing your Home Birth experience in our newsletter or on our website please contact email@example.com. We are always delighted to receive new home birth stories.
A birth story is a document which details the memory of a birthing, usually composed by a mother. Less frequently we get to hear the voice of the father of the child, or even from time to time, that of a relative or assisting attendant or witness of the birth. Readers will usually understand the nature of these accounts instinctively; nevertheless the web mistress would like to remind readers that these accounts should never be taken to constitute blow by blow accounts of the progress of a labour, nor of the clinical practice of any midwife.
Not all mothers feel comfortable sharing their birth story online. Our quarterly newsletters are packed with many more birth stories as well as information relating to home births, natural births, breast feeding, VBACs, regional support meetings, midwives listings, news pieces and more... to receive our newsletters become a member today!
